Madrigal Singers Concert
Choir Concert | June 6, 2026 | Clérigos Church
On 6 June, Clérigos Church will welcome the Madrigal Singers, a female choral ensemble from Greenwich Academy, for a performance as part of their tour across Portugal, with concerts in Porto, Coimbra, and Lisbon.
Composed of 23 secondary school singers, the group represents Greenwich Academy’s long-standing tradition of musical excellence. Founded in 1827 in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA, the institution has nurtured generations of musicians, and over recent decades the ensemble has built a remarkable international profile, performing across Europe and North America.
The Madrigal Singers have appeared at prestigious venues and events, including a private reception at the White House at the invitation of former First Lady Laura Bush, as well as performances at Radio City Music Hall in New York. More recently, they have toured internationally in Germany, Scandinavia, and Canada.
The ensemble is under the artistic direction of conductor Erica McCants, who has led the group since 2019. The concert will also feature piano accompaniment by Kylie Mullins.
An opportunity to experience a unique musical moment in a space where heritage, acoustics, and tradition come together.
