As part of the celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of Porto’s Historic Centre being inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Long Live Porto, Long Live Portugal, by Portuguese artist Sérgio Remondes, pays tribute to the people of Porto, their traditions, and the identity that makes the city truly unique.
The exhibition brings together a selection of paintings from the artist’s collection, alongside a series of new works created especially for this exhibition. Through his paintings, Sérgio Remondes captures the customs, everyday life and collective memory of a city shaped by its people, preserving its stories and celebrating a heritage that remains alive.
More than an exhibition, Long Live Porto, Long Live Portugal is an invitation to rediscover Porto through art and through a perspective deeply rooted in its culture, history and traditions.
