Clérigos Tower once again takes centre stage in Porto
On 2 October, as part of the celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of the Portuguese Army Personnel Command in the city of Porto, the Clérigos Tower Balcony will provide the setting for a very special evening.
The celebrations will begin at 20:00 with a performance by Attilo & Kyden B2B. An hour later, Father Guilherme will take to the stage alongside the Portuguese Army Band, in a performance taking place in Porto for the first time.
Bringing together music, heritage and innovation, the evening will also offer audiences a preview of the artist’s new album, “The Body”, due for release on 25 December, as part of his 2027 Tour. The concert will feature a very special surprise at its finale.
The event also marks Father Guilherme’s return to Clérigos Tower, following his last performance at the monument on 18 July 2024, an evening that remains fondly remembered. We are delighted to welcome him back.
This event is presented by the Portuguese Army Personnel Command, the Brotherhood of Clérigos and Father Guilherme, with the support of Porto City Council.
“Clérigos is a living place, deeply connected to the identity of Porto. It is also our responsibility to continue opening this space to the people of the city and to create opportunities for them to experience the monument in new and different ways,” says Father Manuel Fernando, President of the Brotherhood of Clérigos.
“As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Army Personnel Command in the city of Porto, we want to share this special occasion with the people of Porto. Celebrating this milestone in such an iconic setting as Clérigos Tower reflects the enduring connection between the Portuguese Army, society and the communities it serves. We invite families, young people and everyone who identifies with the values of service, dedication and community to join us for this unique evening of celebration, culture and shared experience. It will be a tribute to the city of Porto and its people, to whom we dedicate this special occasion,” says the Commander of the Portuguese Army Personnel Command.
For Porto City Council President Pedro Duarte, “It is particularly meaningful that the Portuguese Army has chosen Porto and Clérigos Tower to mark the 20th anniversary of its Personnel Command. We want ours to be a vibrant city, where its most iconic spaces can also become places for people to come together and celebrate. This is an opportunity for the people of Porto to experience Clérigos in a different way and to celebrate together an institution with a longstanding relationship with the city.”
Entry is free, and everyone in the city is invited to join us.
